The source of life.
Many traditions have narratives about the source of life including parallel stories of eternal youth, the holy grail and other searches. In them we find the human being's yearning to live and transcend the limitation of death. This imperious desire has generated cosmologies, mythologies and religions, built pyramids, ziggurats and temples. In short: it has driven human beings to seek meaning.
In each epoch, this search has been carried out in different ways. Scouts were sent to the ends of the world, eyes were focused on the starry night, efforts were made to study and meditate or spaces and buildings were built. Today, science and technology seem to be searching for meaning and many find life or youth in cosmetic surgery or vain pleasures, as has always been the case. We also find sellers of meaning in sects or new age products that offer old pearls of wisdom conveniently made up. Nothing new under the sun.
However, the common people seem to have forgotten the access to the sources of life that although they continue to flow, they do so with a slight rumour that the din of everyday life completely erases. Modern societies seem to turn their backs on the religions and mystics who knew these narrow paths. Faith dogmas, hierarchies, structures of other times and rigid morals have driven many away.
