The health professionals revolution
Training a health professional requires a huge effort, it takes motivation, stamina, skills and attitudes. Added to this are expensive teaching resources and a generous amount of time. The medical case is even worse.
For these reasons, it is common that when we arrive at the labour market, we usually work intensively by adding guards, shifts, doublets, part-time supplementary work or private consultations. If a standard 35-hour workday is usually exhausting, imagine if we lengthen it. Too much time spent with hands in the black waters of human suffering takes a heavy toll. The swell is so powerful that it's starting to crack the structure. A burned-out healthcare professional cannot provide the highest quality care a person needs in sick time. You will be able to provide service, diagnose, treat, apply techniques and care but not build quality encounters, quality conversations or generate narratives that reach the patient core and help them heal.
